The Gold Ribbed Hares Ear is one of the most famous trout flys in the world. It is famed for its fish catching ability! It is a very simple pattern... but sometimes simple is just what's required! When in the water the Hares fur becomes slightly darker making it a close match to many nymph species. The Gold Wire Rib adds just enough weight to get it down to that fish catching depth. This fly is best fished in either an Up Stream Nymph or New Zealand Style.
